Rachael’s key role is as a writer and marketing planner and she works on all key Slater PR accounts.

She has a degree in International Journalism from Liverpool John Moores University and has worked within a variety of media outlets across the North West. She has expertise in radio, TV, online and print media and has gained experience working for the BBC, ITV and various regional newspapers.

Something you didn’t know about me:
I grew up in Tanzania, East Africa and I get my kicks from jumping out of planes doing 15,000 feet skydives.

Three things I couldn’t survive on a desert island without:
My man, my Basement Jaxx Greatest Hits CD and a dark chocolate Bounty so I could taste the paradise!

What is your most-thumbed book?
I admire and respect foreign correspondents who report in war zones and as I’ve interviewed the legend that is Gavin Hewitt, I think I would have to say his ‘A Soul on Ice’ autobiography.

What is your favourite bar or restaurant?
Fins Seafood Restaurant at Mombasa’s Diani Reef Hotel. Lobster and champagne on one of the best beaches in the world - what more could a girl ask for?!!

What’s your favourite tipple?
Bombay Sapphire with ice and a slice. Bliss!

What is your favourite holiday destination?
I plan on going to Iceland to experience the Northern Lights at some point in the future, but I’m settling with Ibiza for the time being. I’m a ‘work hard, party hard’ kind of girl!

If you were an animal, what type would you be?
I would be a leopard because it would save me a fortune on my obsession with leopard print clothes, handbags and shoes!
