Give it a Go gains abundance of press 21.12.2009
Lancashire County Council’s Give it a Go project has received a mass of media attention in recent weeks, as the timeframe for applications to its £5k Challenge reaches the halfway stage.
The challenge will see one chosen entrepreneur with a community-based business idea from each region in Lancashire take home £5,000 to put towards running their project. An overall winner will be selected from the regional heats and they will be presented with a cheque for £20,000.
Having enlisted the support of Slater PR, Lancashire County Council has seen Give it a Go - and its now infamous giant green light bulb - receive coverage in local media throughout the region.
The launch of the project and a number of case studies of entrants have secured coverage in the Lancashire Telegraph, Lancashire Evening Post, Blackpool Gazette, Lancaster Guardian, Burnley Express, Clitheroe Advertiser & Times and the Lytham St Annes Express, amongst many others.
