Something you didn’t know about me:
When I was doing design work for Blackpool Circus, we used my own children, who were five and seven (and very cute) at the time, as models for the posters. The posters are still up in Blackpool, much to the embarrassment of my now teenage kids.
Three things I couldn’t survive on a desert island without:
A book, probably something by Bill Bryson, my Nivea moisturizer, otherwise my face will feel like it is about to shatter into a million pieces, and piano so that I can play music and not go stark staring mad on that damn island.
What was your first job?
As the Saturday girl in my village bakery, it was a fantastic job - free cakes at the end of the day and all the village gossip I could manage.
What is your most-thumbed book?
The Time Traveller’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. I love it so much, I’ve read it 7 times.
What’s your most visited website?
www.pogo.com which allows me to play free games, because I’m sad and have no life
Your favourite pet?
Dodger, my ‘bit-of-everything’ dog who we bought for £35 from a man on the worst estate in Harwood. We named him after the Artful Dodger from Oliver! because he’s a loveable rascal and can sing and dance really well. He looks like a bit of every dog you could ever name – I think it’s called council-estate chic, but to me he’s beautiful.
What makes you cry?
When my children make me proud, which is often.
